The Fort Myers Camera Club's program for Monday, Feb. 2 will be a sound and image presentation by award winning photographer, Dana Vannoy. Dana's presentation, entitled Exploring the Dragon: Adventures in China, will embrace her 2008 photo adventure in mainland China, Tibet and Hong Kong.
Images will include the highlights of Beijing, including the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, and everyday life in this modern urban metropolis; the ancient city of the old capital, Xian, home to the 2000 year old Terra Cotta Army, and life in a Chinese farm village; a cruise down the Yangtze River and three lesser gorges; life in Lhasa, Tibet at 12,000 feet elevation: a visit to Chengdu and the Panda Bears; and the breathtaking experience of cosmopolitan Hong Kong.
Join us at 7:15 p.m. at the club's meeting place, the Fort Myers Congregational Church of Christ, 8210 College Parkway. Park in the rear of the church. Guests are welcome free of charge. For additional information about the Fort Myers Camera Club, visit our website at www.ftmyerscc.com.
