Bay Oaks flag football league

It was perfect football weather for the Youth Flag Football League games held lastTuesday at Bay Oaks Park, nice and chilly!

First game of the night paired up the Packers verses the Redskins. The Redskins took the field with a strong drive and was the first to score. The Packers answered back with a long drive of there own as Alec Grabber scored, with a break out run to answer right back. The Redskins took advantage and ran the score board up.

Second game of the night was the Steelers verses the Patriots. What a game that was! Both teams came out strong for all four quarters and never let down until the Patriots, said enough is enough. Austin Tezak broke open to put the game out of reach for the Steelers.

Final game of the night was the Eagles verses the Dolphins. The Eagles thought that this game was going to be a cake walk, but the Dolphins answered right back with Shaw-Taylor throwing the football the length of the field to score. The Eagles showed relentless defense to stop a big drive by the Dolphins. The Dolphins stepped up their defense with a big interception. The Eagles go on to win with an undefeated record for the regular season.

Great job to all of the Flag Football teams, players and coaches. Games are played every Tuesday and Fridays from 6 to 8:30 p.m. plan to stop by a catch a game.

Teen Flag Football sign ups are still going on with the Saturday Night Under the Lights games starting soon. For more information contact Bay Oaks at 765-4222.
