Memorial gathering for Richard Boone

August 28, 2009
Fort Myers Beach Bulletin, Fort Myers Beach Observer

Beach local Richard Boone past away Monday, Aug. 24, due to complications from leukemia. He spent 35 years working on chemical tanker ships, serving his last six years as captain. It is this job that lead some to believe this is how he developed the disease.

Richard leaves behind, "firstly, his Harley and his boat, and then me, Valerie."

He will most certainly be missed by his children, Lydia, Brett, Hayley, Scott, Ian and Tina, Zach the Fat Cat, Zoe and Roxie, his girls.

A gathering will be held at Junkanoo for Richard's friends and family Saturday, Sept. 19 at 1 p.m.
