Beach author ready for next book signing Monday, Jan. 10

January 6, 2011
By MELISSA SCHNEIDER, mschneider@breezenewspapers.com

Local author and columnist Mary Tatarian is proud to announce her next book signing, hosted by Annette's Book Nook, 7205 Estero Blvd., in the Santini Marina Plaza, Monday, Jan. 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Mary, who has been a movie columnist for the Beach Bulletin for years, recently released her first published novel, "Seabliss," which is not your typical island mystery.

As Mary explains her read, "It's a cozy mystery that takes place on a sleepy Florida gulfcoast island town. The town suddenly comes alive, as two best friends, local merchant, Mariah Linley, and island psychic, Moonbeam, find themselves in the middle of some pretty strange business," she said. "When their friend, a popular elderly boat captain, does not respond to attempts to reach him, the two women take it upon themselves to find out what really happened."

As events begin to unfold, the two novice sleuths are drawn into a web of murder, deception and drugs that stretch as far west as Mexico and as far south as the Keys.

Mary is a resident of Fort Myers Beach, where she operated a popular business for 20 years. She wrote a weekly column for the Beach Bulletin and Fort Myers Beach Observer for 14 years and has freelanced as well. A graduate of Syracuse University, she is a member of the Ostego Bay Foundation, The Southwest Florida Romance Writers and Romance Writers of America.
