Samuel G. Thomas, age 82, of Fort Myers Beach and formerly of Findlay, Ohio, died at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at his residence.
Samuel was born on Aug. 18, 1928, in Detroit, Michigan to Lloyd E. and Mary L. (Glass) Thomas. He married Patricia Ann Walls on June 30, 1950, and she preceded him in death on Aug. 30, 1986. He married Pamela L. Mathias on Dec. 1, 1990, and she survives.
Also surviving are his children, Diane (Jay) Hutchinson of Ocala, Fla., Dan P. (Terri) Thomas of Peachtree City, Ga. and David N. (Nicole) Thomas of Delaware, Ohio; sisters, Betty Brown of Waterford, Mich., Esther Clapham of The Villages, Fla., Joanne (Bob) Hutchinson of Scotts Hill, Tenn. and Mary (John) McKissick of Madison Heights, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and his many favorites nieces and nephews.

Samuel had a 35-year career in Real Estate with Marathon Oil Company retiring in 1991 as Real Estate manager.
A funeral was held at noon, Saturday, July 30, 2011 at the Kirkpatrick/Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, with Reverend Bob Ball officiating. Entombment followed mausoleum at Knollcrest Gardens, east of Findlay.
A celebration to honor Sam will be held Sunday, Nov. 20, from 2 to 4 p.m. at their home.
