Pet Pals: Annie and Flip Flop need homes

March 22, 2012
Fort Myers Beach Bulletin, Fort Myers Beach Observer

Annie came to us a few months ago, found a home, and then, sadly, needs a third chance. Her beloved guardian has terminal cancer and became allergic, so Annie is back and needs your help! She will cuddle up next to you and sometimes she will even will sing. She is 10 years old and declawed, totally vetted, and prefers to be the queen of the household, so no other cats, please.

She doesn't go outside, but still loves to play.?They just want what is best for their Annie Mariah. These folks need help quickly, so if you'd like a kitty you can have a conversation with this beautiful Calico is your girl!

Flip Flop is only a year old and has a tender personality. She is like a piece of chocolate: super sweet and heart-melting! You won't believe how wonderful this little girl is! She has exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI), treatable, although requires a digestive enzyme be mixed in with her food with each meal.

Little Annie sings sometimes!

The enzyme will be supplied for her for the next several months and is not very expensive after that. Please open your heart she is worth all the love in the world!

Our annual garage sale is here!

We worked very hard to put this event in place, and, believe me, it will be exciting. You will find everything you want, from your boat, to your car, to your house, to everything imaginable (bikes, clothes, Harley Davidson collectibles, TVs, furniture, linens, lamps, and other great items).

Fact Box

Find a Home, Give a Home works entirely on donations, either monetary, or in the form of cat litter and supplies, and your support is greatly appreciated. Visit

More than 100 people kindly donated items for this event and we priced it so you can get bargains!

We will have three homes dedicated to save the animals on Fort Myers Beach: 7875, 7879 and 7901 Buccaneer Drive, all in the Laguna Shores subdivision on the south end of the Island.

So, come on and visit us on Saturday and Sunday, March 24 and 25, beginning at 7 a.m. for coffee, baked goods and lemonade! We are so excited for you to come down, bargain shop and help our homeless pets find homes!

Looking for a Good Samaritan

The Find A Home Give A Home Beach rescue is on quest for a Good Samaritan who would either allow us to have a room in their home dedicated to saving the pets or could donate a home on the island for the rescue's use.

We understand it is a lot to ask, but we hope that one of our wonderful residents will be kind enough to help the helpless, homeless animal world, and is ready to make a difference!

Thanks, from the bottom of our hearts!
