"Leoma and I are personal longtime friends, and her work is, just, absolutely amazing I really admire her not only as an artist, but as a person. She's regularly giving back and always doing what she can to help the community. Come down and meet Leoma Saturday, one of Florida's finest, most brilliant artists."

Michelle said Island Girl is one of the very few galleries in Lee County to offer Leoma Lovegrove's original pieces of artwork. The fun little shop has recently moved from her south-island location, now just south of Doc's Beach House and Coconut Jack's, on the left-hand side in the Beach Plaza.

"I love our new location and want to invite everyone to come visit Island Girl's new home," Michelle said. "We opened our new shop in the Beach Plaza a couple of months ago, and I couldn't be happier."

Voted Best of the Beach's "Best Gift Shop" two years in a row, her stunningly fun, tropical and artsy shop carries a wealth of paintings and Floridian artwork, as well as the work of Leoma Lovegrove, stunning jewelry, gifts, accessories, stylish home decor, candles, a few clothing items and something for every style.

"It's a very fun shop. People are always very receptive to what we have to offer."

Michelle plans to continue hosting special art nights, gatherings, events and showings throughout the year.

Hours to the newly-reopened shop are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and closed Sundays.
