Kicking off last week during a quiet Thursday evening, Valerie's Lounge began a summer tradition that's very fun, very new, and helps a very good local cause along the way.
Every Thursday, from 6 to 9 p.m., be sure to stop by Valerie's Lounge and Liquors, in the Indian Creek Shopping Plaza, 17264 San Carlos Blvd., for some classic BINGO, with proceeds of the event going toward the Lewis P. Tabarrini Foundation, a local group that enriches the lives of children through the power of music, for those who otherwise wouldn't have the chance.
"Last week was the beginning of many more Thursday Night Bingo events," said Valerie Van Selow, owner of Val's Lounge. "We all had a blast, so come enjoy the fun, win some money and contribute to the Tabarrini Foundation, a truly worthy cause!
It doesn't cost much to play the game, and taking a chance to win while having a great time and helping a local cause just tops the cake! For more information, call Val's Lounge, 466-7788.
About the Lewis P. Tabarrini Children's Music Outreach Foundation
To honor their late, music-loving father, Lew, the Tabarrini family set up the Lewis P. Tabarrini Children's Music Outreach Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide instruments and lessons to children who do not otherwise have the means to do so.
Lew believed that a boy or girl with an instrument in their hands is less likely to get into trouble, and he personally provided more than one child with their very first musical instrument.
The Lewis P. Tabarrini Children's Music Outreach Foundation's goal is to change children's lives, one guitar at a time, and provide instruments and lessons to children in Southwest Florida who want to play music but don't have the financial resources to make their dreams come true.
