The next leg of the third annual Blue Water Promotions' Saltwater Classic Kingfish Tournament, hosted by Nervous Nellie's, will be sweeping the shores of Fort Myers Beach Friday through Sunday, May 18 to 20. Local anglers are welcome to join in the tournament, which is expected to attract hundreds of anglers to the island that weekend.
Stephen DeAngelis, assistant manager of Nervous Nellie's, is eager to be on Team Ugly's, competing in this weekend's tournament. "I'm super excited to be hitting the water with Team Ugly's. We're expecting somewhere between 300 to 400 anglers during this offshore tournament. And, with the chance to win up to $20,000 in cash and prizes, we might have even more join the competition."
That's right. Teams have a chance to win up to $20,000 in cash and prizes during the tournament, presented by Yamaha and Contender Boats. It's certainly worth the chance of dropping in a few lines and catching a few monsters.

The festivities will kick off Friday, with Yamaha and Contender test rides given from the Snug Harbor Marina all day, followed by tournament registration later in the afternoon, and the mandatory Captain's Meeting later in the evening.
Anglers will compete either Saturday or Sunday (their choice) all day until weigh-in time, from 3 to 5 p.m., where the public is invited to watch and join in on the no-cost cash-prize raffle drawings.
An awards ceremony will be held Sunday, upstairs at Ugly's Waterside Bar, around 7 p.m.

But, if you don't want to compete, we'll still have plenty of great things going on for you to enjoy ?live music, cash-prize raffles and more. It's going to be a really good, really fun time," Stephen said.
