To the editor:
If Mary Fisher and the rest of the school board were interested in providing learning environment for the students, they would stop the three-hour bus rides and school choice that has students on bus rides all over the county at $60 million cost to tax payers?
That money would be better spent in the classrooms and perhaps would cut down on problems with students and behavior problems. Maybe we would have more students coming off high school that could read on a 12th grade level.
If you want to raise FCAT scores, this would be a step in the right direction -no more school choice. If Fisher read the book FISH, like she said, perhaps they will need motivation as well to stop a three-hour bus ride every day for students, so when they get to school they might feel like learning.
Wake up school board. Stop the waste. Help the taxpayers of this county.
