Every Thursday evening, from 6 to 9 p.m., Valerie's Lounge hosts a totally entertaining BINGO?session that helps a very good local musical cause, while players have an absolute BALL.
Be sure to stop by the local lounge and liquor store in the Indian Creek Shopping Plaza, 17264 San Carlos Blvd., for some classic BINGO, with proceeds of the event going toward the Lewis P. Tabarrini Foundation, a local group that enriches the lives of children through the power of music, for those who otherwise wouldn't have the chance.
Island local Lena Neroni is Queen of the BINGO?Balls that night, calling out each number, one by one, until someone shouts that coveted one-word phrase, "BINGO!"

A good six to 10 games are played each night, trying to match the required board coverage (like four corners, a captital H, capital I, top and bottom rows, etc.), where pots range from $20 to $60 and up. And, the final round is always the jackpot round, where players have to fill their entire board to win the bookoo bucks, which is usually well over $100.
"We have so, so, so much fun during our BINGO?nights," said Valerie Van Selow, owner of Val's Lounge. "We all have a blast, and it's for a good cause, so come enjoy the fun, win some money and contribute to the Tabarrini Foundation!
It doesn't cost much to play the game ($1 for a card of three games), and taking a chance to win while having a great time and helping a local cause just tops the FREE?SPACE?of a BINGO?board! For more information, call Val's Lounge, 466-7788.
About the Tabarrini Foundation
To honor their late, music-loving father, Lew, the Tabarrini family set up the Lewis P. Tabarrini Children's Music Outreach Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide instruments and lessons to children who do not otherwise have the means to do so.
Lew believed that a boy or girl with an instrument in their hands is less likely to get into trouble, and he personally provided more than one child with their very first musical instrument.
The Lewis P. Tabarrini Children's Music Outreach Foundation's goal is to change children's lives, one guitar at a time, and provide instruments and lessons to children in Southwest Florida who want to play music but don't have the financial resources to make their dreams come true on their own.
For more information on the local organization, or to find out how you can help, call 980-4991, visit TabarriniFoundation.org, or find the group on Facebook.
