The Surf and Song Foundation will be holding its first fund-raiser of the season at the Nauti Turtle, 19001 San Carlos Blvd., Sunday, Aug. 12, from 2 to 10 p.m.

During the all-afternoon, all-evening event, benefit-goers can rely on plenty of live music throughout the event, food specials, drinks specials, raffle prizes, silent auctions and more.

"The Nauti Turtle is generously donating funds from their sales that day to the foundation, so bring your hunger and your thirst, and party at the Nauti," said Fritz Caraher, Surf and Song Foundation president, chairman of the board and benefit coordinator.

About The Surf and Song Foundation

The non-profit Surf and Song Foundation has been established to help local groups in need.

"We strive to continue to demonstrate, be it one person or 100, we can all make a positive difference where we live and with those among us," Fritz said. "The point of the foundation is to bring together the Arts and Music community, to benefit those in need in our community.

This year's main festival will span over two days in March, in Downtown Fort Myers, featuring some of the best live and local acts around town.

"We will continue our tradition of helping raise awareness for all non-profit and charitable organizations in our community," Fritz said. "Our goal will always be to help as many people as possible through our local music and arts, as well as continually expand, bringing help to as many of the less fortunate in Southwest Florida as we can."
