Each year, the popular waterfront restaurant, located within Salty Sam's Waterfront Adventures, 2500 Main St., has offered "Buy One Get One Free" coupons for the month- long celebration, and this year, in addition to that customers will be able to order $10 bottles of wine or receive $10 off select bottles of wine in the restaurant.

"We're very proud to reach our 10th anniversary, and we'd like to thank our loyal customers with this celebration and these great giveaways and promotions," said Justin Hall, operations manager of the establishment. "This is our chance to thank our customers for allowing us to serve them at Parrot Key since 2002, and for voting us Best Waterfront Dining since 2004."

Offering an array of cuisine with tropical flair and fresh Caribbean flavor, Parrot Key's signature dishes include crab-stuffed grouper, coconut shrimp and short-rib roulade.

For 10 years, those dishes and more are part of what keeps customers coming back for more.

"Our customers love the casual, friendly atmosphere and the great food. Stepping into Parrot Key gives you the feeling of stepping into paradise," said Brian DeMartinis, general manager of the award-winning restaurant. "You leave your troubles behind when you arrive and order a Jamaican Me Crazy or a Funky Monkey!"

Regularly offered specials and the introduction of new items on occasion keeps a patron's experience fresh and exciting, allowing returning guests to enjoy a new twist every time.

"We offer daily specials, happy hour and other promotions, such as lobster mania on Thursdays and all-you-can-eat snow crab Monday nights," said Glee Ann Agius, Salty Sam's marketing director. "We are currently running a free sunset cruise on Sunday nights for our Sunday night diners. This is a reservation-only cruise, so folks need to call ahead for this one."

The perfect complement to Parrot Key's great food and drink items, tropical ambiance and sensational decor is the music. Live and local musicians perform at the Salty Sam's restaurant on almost a daily basis, getting the crowd to its feet and keeping everyone cheering for more.

"Frank Torino has been performing at Parrot Key for years, and our customers still flock to see him on Thursday and Saturday nights," Glee Ann said. "Taylor Stokes is another one of our customers' favorite performers. He gets everyone up and dancing every Friday night."

During season, Parrot Key is proud to offer multiple car shows every month, attracting hundreds of antique, collectible and out-of-this-world cars, as well as thousands of car fanatics and gear heads. Look forward to that and much more from this local island gem.

"We are thrilled to be showcasing our new menu this month, created by Chef Ryan Blackstone," Glee Ann said. "After our 10th anniversary, we will then begin our annual series of car shows, which have been a lot of fun and a huge success. We will feature our Caribbean Cruise-In car shows on the first Monday of each month and our popular Corvette Shows on the third Sunday of each month."

Voted Best Waterfront Dining since 2004 by the News-Press readers' poll and numerous Best of the Beach awards for the last 10 years, Parrot Key is a favorite of locals and visitors alike, with its unique open-air setting on the waterfront edge of Salty Sam's Marina and a thriving wildlife aquatic preserve.

Open for lunch or dinner with entertainment on select evenings, enjoy colorful and tasty frozen drinks and Caribbean-inspired cuisine diverse enough to please all palates, including local seafood and land-based favorites.
