For the fourth year in a row, the half-mile stretch of Main Street, San Carlos Island, will be turned into an all-you-can-shop bargain-hunter's dream, as the annual Main Street Bazaar and Yard Sale takes place Saturday Jan. 19, beginning at 7:30 a.m., starting off with an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast at Oyster Bay RV Park.
"Plans have pretty much been finalized at this point, and residents within the Main Street communities are eager to get the sale under way, already preparing with everything they'll be offering that day. Some seasonal residents, who just returned for the winter, intentionally brought items down with them from the north, just to sell at the bazaar. We're planning on this being the biggest bazaar yet," said Bill Arendt, lead coordinator of the event. "We've had an exceptional three years of yard sales, and we expect no different this year."
Kicking off the bazaar is an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast at Oyster Bay RV Park, which includes coffee or juice and a side of your choice, for just $3, running from 7:30 to 10 a.m. that morning.

The yard sale officially kicks off at 8 am. and stretches all along Main Street, on San Carlos Island, just before the Sky Bridge. Businesses, residential parks and individual homes will be offering an array of items for bargain-shoppers to dig through.
"So many great communities and businesses along Main Street are offering some fantastic goodies that day," Bill said. "Be sure to bring your coolers ice will be available at the participating seafood places during the sale."
Throughout the bazaar, enjoy lunch, live music and a bake sale within the event not to mention plenty of other great buys scattered throughout the communities.
"Come down, have fun, shop, stop by our Main Street businesses, and make a great day of it," Bill said.
For those of you looking for a good parking spot, Salty Sam's has been gracious enough to lend its satellite, fenced-in parking lot across the street from the main establishment. There will also be parking at Port Carlos Cove's clubhouse.
