CENTURY 21 TriPower Realty hosted their annual "Art on the Boulevard" Gala this past Sunday. It featured local artwork for sale by area artists associated with the Fort Myers Beach Art Association.
It was a wonderful event displaying original paintings priced agreeable with everybody's price range from $25 to $800, including framed artwork, matted artwork and note cards for $5. Many of the paintings were of local beach scenes featuring the old fish houses, boat moorings, island birds and flowers, beach landscapes and beach cottages, along with abstract, and paintings by a professional commissioned portrait artist.
CENTURY 21 TriPower agents Deborah Groll, Cheri Walters, Bill Gillespy and Sandy Lepley as well as owner Judy Haataja were the festive event hosts. It was an out-of-the-ordinary opportunity for guests to meet the artists, and enjoy a glass of wine and party snacks as they previewed the art.

The Fort Myers Beach Art Association, a member of the Art Council of Southwest Florida, is comprised of members who have won awards nationally and regionally, and have their art displayed in homes around the world. The Association's gallery is located at the corner of Donora and Shell Mound boulevards where classes, workshops and demonstrations are offered.
