Bank of America Robbery Suspect Sought

On Thursday, June 20, 2013, at approximately 3:54 pm, deputies with the Lee County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the Bank of America, 15620 Summerlin Road, in Fort Myers in reference to an armed robbery. Due to the nature of the incident, detectives with the Lee County Sheriff's Office Robbery Unit were assigned to continue the investigation.

Surveillance shows that a white or Hispanic male, thin build, wearing gloves, a ski mask and carring a plastic bag, entered the bank, jumped over the counter and grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then fled the scene and was last seen headed in a southwest direction.

No injuries were reported during the robbery. A surveillance photo is attached to this press release. No other details are being released at this time.
