Teachers organization thanks Beach Library staff

October 16, 2013
Fort Myers Beach Bulletin, Fort Myers Beach Observer

To the editor:

The Psi Chapter of Kappa Kappa Iota would like to thank Dr. Leroy Hommerding for his expansive tour of our Fort Myers Beach Library.

Through his in-depth narrative, we learned about the history, rebuilding and expansion of our beloved edifice. Book lovers were introduced to the modernized media centers. Tree huggers were impressed with the rain catchers, water savers and the effort for the facility to be environmentally ergonomic.

Many thanks, also, to the library employees and volunteers that made the library what it is and made our meeting one of the best.

Kappa Kappa Iota is a national professional organization for teachers and support staff. For more information, visit www.nationalkappakappaiota.org or call me at 765-1704 and leave a message. Our next meeting is Friday, Nov. 1, at 10 a.m. to visit the hand-crafted doll clothes exhibit in Naples and have a lunch meeting. Feel welcome to join us use the same number above for contact.
