In loving memory of our dear mother, Vera Jean Ranegar, called home to the Lord on Holy Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Hope Hospice of Bonita Springs. She was born March 9, 1931, in Washington, Pa., and had resided on Fort Myers Beach for many years.
She was the proud owner of the Seaview Apartmentss and Resort mid-beach for 23 happy years and always said she never needed to travel, as she already lived in paradise. Jean was predeceased by her husband, Andrew Ranegar, and grand-daughter, Nena Louise Embry.
She is survived by her daughters Valerie Knox and Andrea English, and son, Rick Ranegar, all of Southwest Florida. She is also survived by her grandchildren John-el, Stacey and Anthony, and great grandson, Braden. Val's husband, Jean's son-in-law, Robert Knox, his son, Storm, and his mother, Lavell Brown, and her daughter-in-law, Rick's wife, Linda, will all miss her.
Mother was always joyful, vibrant, artistic and kind-hearted. We have so many fond memories of fun times together on Estero Island. The best years of her life were all spent on Estero Boulevard, Fort Myers Beach. Her motto was "Love is a Beach."
Final arrangements will be by Gendron Funeral Home of Fort Myers. Online condolences are welcome at GendronFuneralHome.com. The family will have a private memorial on the Gulf of Mexico that she so enjoyed for the past 30 years.
